For the best bread experience, enjoy your artisan loaf on baking day.
Keep your bread at room temperature in a paper bag. Refrigeration will only accelerate the staling process. If bread is cut, place it face down on the counter or a cutting board.
After on day you may want to wrap the loaf in plastic to maintain freshness. This softens the crust, but you can revive the crust by misting the loaf lightly with water and placing it in a 400 degree oven for 8-10 minutes.
To freeze, wrap loaf in plastic and put it in a Ziploc bag. Let thaw at room temperature with the bag closed. This will restore some of the moisture. Refresh the crust as described above.
